Danny Collins

Camp Experience
Danny has worked in a summer day camp setting for twenty five years as a counselor, basketball instructor and camp director. He has also directed many sports camp over the years and conducted numerous clinics and seminars for youth and adult coaches.

During the School Year
Business Education Teacher (Sports & Entertainment Marketing and Management) at Perkiomen Valley High School for 19 years. He currently coaches his three children on their youth basketball, lacrosse and baseball teams and has previously coached basketball at the Junior High, High School and Collegiate levels. He is also a PIAA Basketball Official.

Rich Freeman

Rich has worked thirty four years as day camp counselor/administrator.

During the School Year
Learning Support Teacher – Grade 8 in the Methacton School District (34 years). Rich currently coaches the Methacton High School Girls Track & Field squad and the Arcola Intermediate School 7th grade Boys Basketball team.

Lauren Wise

Lauren is a registered nurse at Abington Memorial Hospital.

During the School Year
Learning Support Teacher – Grade 8 in the Methacton School District (34 years). Rich currently coaches the Methacton High School Girls Track & Field squad and the Arcola Intermediate School 7th grade Boys Basketball team.

Drew Scheeler

Camp Experience
Drew has been working in a camp setting for seven years. He has been the CIT Coordinator at the Flourtown Summer Day Camp for three years.

During the School Year
Drew has been a Business and Technology Teacher at Perkiomen Valley High School for the last six years. He is also is the Head Girls’ Volleyball Coach at Perkiomen Valley.

Colleen Quittner

CAMP ADMINISTRATOR

Camp Experience
Colleen has worked in a day camp setting as a counselor, Special Instructor and Camp Administrator for the past fifteen years.

During the School Year
Colleen is currently a Teacher’s Aide at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy (Elementary Division). Prior to that, she held a similar position at the former St. Anthony/St. Joseph Elementary School in Ambler for twelve years. She has coached many different Youth/CYO sports teams including basketball, volleyball and softball.

Steve Mahan

Camp Experience
Steve has worked at day camps for the past 31 years.

During the School Year
Steve is a retired Special Education Teacher (33 years of service) from the Methacton School District. He currently coaches the Methacton Girls Indoor Track team, Methacton Girls Spring Track team and is the Girls Head Cross Country Coach at Methacton.. He also serves as a Faculty Manager for Athletics during Methacton High School’s Winter Season.

Jessy Mahan

Jessy has been working in a camp setting for twelve years as a Camp Counselor, Lifeguard and Aquatics Director.

During the School Year
Jessy is currently a Physical Education Teacher in the Lower Merion School District and is an Assistant Track Coach for Phoenixville High School’s Winter and Spring Track teams.

Kathi Babin

Camp Experience
Kathi has been working at FSDC as the Papoose Sr. Counselor for 3 years and has worked at local day camps in the past.

During the School Year
Kathi is a Guidance Counselor in the Upper Dublin School District for the past 15 years. She facilitates an after school group for middle school girls focusing on self-esteem, cyber bullying, and female relationships.

Joe Kilpatrick

Joe Has been working with Day Camps for 9years. This is Joe’s first with FSDC but was with most of the staff back at the GMC Day Camp.

During the School Year
Joe is going into his 10th year as Business Technology Teacher at Unionville HS. He is also the Boys Head Basketball Coach at Unionville.

Ashley Lewis

Ashley has been at FSDC for the past seven years working with the pool staff and in our Extended Hours program.

During the School Year
Ashley teaches Health and Physical Education in the Pennsbury School District.

John Conran

Camp Experience
John has been at FSDC for ten years and has worked at day camps for the 14 years.

During the School Year
John is a social Studies Teacher at Methacton High School and works in the Athletic Department as an event facilitator and coaches the 7th Grade Baseball team.

Melanie Zamachieli

Melanie has been working at FSDC as the Papoose Sr. Counselor for the past 4 years.

During the School Year
Melanie is a Guidance Counselor in the Upper Dublin School District and has been a classroom teacher for the past 20 years. She has coached Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Intramural sports at all levels.
